With Noche UFC breaking all types of records, UFC 306 is being considered by many as the "Greatest Sporting Event Ever". The 10-fight spectacle cost the Ultimate Fighting Championship 20 million dollars to produce. Between the UFC Fan experience built outside of Sphere, to the 5 piece mariachi band playing in the Atrium, to the different worlds displayed on the massive 160,000 square feet interior screen, Noche UFC at Sphere Las Vegas will be talked about for years to come.
With interactive seats, illuminating bracelets, and one of the world's largest HD screens, Sphere Las Vegas helped the UFC put on a show that will be hard to beat.
With a record-breaking gate of $22 million, Noche UFC at Sphere is UFC's highest-grossing revenue event ever and the highest-grossing event in Sphere's history.
In the words of Dana White, "What we are going to attempt to pull off will never, ever be replicated. Nobody will ever do it again. It won't make sense to try because it costs too much money. It will be one of the greatest things you've ever seen live in the arena, and we're going to try to pull off one of the greatest things you've ever seen on TV, too."
Judging from fans leaving the venue and from online comments, the graphics and production in the venue and on the television were a hit. The audience watching at home and in the venue loved UFC's use of the new immersive technology in Sphere Las Vegas.
Dana White said that Noche UFC was a once-and-done event. I believe the UFC has more innovative ways to enhance the show for audiences at home and in future venues and plans to roll this out now that UFC 306 went smoothly.
With Noche UFC at Sphere Las Vegas in the books, UFC is already planning for their next two big events. The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be returning to Salt Lake City for "UFC 307 Pereira Vs. Roundtree Jr.". Also, the UFC announced during Noche UFC that Jon Jones will make his grand return to the Octagon on November 16th against Stipe Miocic at Madison Square Garden, New York.
Tickets are available for UFC 307 at seatgeek.com/ufc and tickets for UFC 309 will go on sale very soon. When comparing the UFC to the NFL, NBA, or NHL, the UFC is on a roll with phenomenal events and has produced some of the best overall events in 2024.
