Game on! Word is that AC/DC will continue as a band despite the death or departure of several original members. Just now signing on is Axl Rose as frontman and plans are in the works to release a record with this new line up. Will anybody listen?…YA Think!,
Murray Engleheart - who wrote the 'AC/DC: Maximum Rock & Roll' biography- apparently has inside info that the legendary rock band will continue to perform with Rose on vocals in lieu of the departed Brian Johnson's as his replacement. The creative juices must be flowing because word there is new music being written too!
Engelheart posted on Facebook: "Speculate all you want but I've said it before and I'll say it again: AC/DC will continue with Axl on vocals - new album, touring, the whole nine yards. What was a massive gamble by Angus turned out to be an equally enormous triumph that has set the scene for the future."
Axl swooped in to save the day in 2016 for the final dates of AC/DC's 'Rock or Bust World Tour' in 2016 after Brian Johnson pulled out due to hearing issues. That was the last in a string of departures from the band. Bassist Cliff Williams retired, sadly guitarist Angus’ brother Malcolm Young - who quit the group in 2014 – passed away, and finally the last to go was Brian, pulling out of the tour due to his hearing problems.
