FDLE Arrests Five Suspects in Organized Retail Theft Ring

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has arrested five Miami-Dade suspects in connection with an organized retail theft ring.

Maike De Armas, Lazaro De Armas, Yusser Rodriguez, Elias Hernandez, and Honasi Santos each face multiple felony charges for their roles in thefts totaling more than $55-thousand dollars. Four of the five are being held without bond.

The scheme involved items that the suspects claimed to have already purchased online. They'd visit different store locations to return the items pocketing the cash.

Detectives say the group was involved in 53 incidents across 13 Florida counties.
