TOOL have announced their first live shows of 2025, and it's somewhere they've never toured before. Next March, the band will headline four festivals in South America, namely: Lollapaloloza Chile in Santiago; Lollapalooza Argentina in Buenos Aires; Lollapalooza Brasil in São Paulo; and Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogotá, Colombia.

The dates come after TOOL spent a large amount of 2023 and the first half of 2024 on the road. At the beginning of the year, bassist Justin Chancellor mentioned that the band might use the second half of 2024 to record new music. Many of the band's members have discussed new music this year, assuring fans that they won't have to wait 13 years for a new album (like they did between 10,000 Days and Fear Inoculum). During another interview, Chancellor gave an honest reason why.

“We’re just getting old, so it’s the pressure of time. Danny has just turned 63, so if we take 13 more years we’ll be touring when we’re over 70!" he noted. "Now there’s more of a necessity to get something cooking a little faster if we want to keep going strong.”
