Weezer's self-titled debut album (better known as The Blue Album) turned 30 earlier this year, and the band is kicking off a special anniversary tour today (September 4) where they'll play the iconic album in its entirety, but that's not the only plans Rivers Cuomo and company have up their sleeves. They're also releasing a Super Deluxe Edition of the project that includes a remastered version of The Blue Album as well as 36 previously unreleased tracks featuring eight “Kitchen Tape Demos,” 22 early practices and live recordings, six BBC radio recordings and four tracks from sessions at Loyola Marymount University.
Weezer celebrated the announcement by sharing the earliest known recording of "Undone - The Sweater Song," which you can listen to below.

Turns out, when it comes to the Blue Album, there was a whole lotta “what”!
We decided that there was no need to simply repackage what’s already been uncovered, when there was so much unreleased cool stuff still to reveal. Some of which has been buried for 3 decades, un-listened to!
With the Blue 30 box set, you get a full disc of unreleased early recordings, a full disc of unreleased early live recordings, The Kitchen Tape in its fully realized album format (as the band hoped would be possible back in ‘92, but never happened till now), The early 1995 BBC sessions in their entirely, and a 7” of the entire 1993 LMU Sessions which was the source of “Jamie”!
And then there’s a 24 page full color Weezine by Karl w/ exclusive photos, extensive history & credits, 4 lithographs ft dozens of never before seen band photos from the Blue Album photo shoot, a special sticker sheet representing the 10 Blue songs, a 12 sided die for all your Dungeon Mastering needs & a stylish pin of our mascot Bokkus, first seen inside the booklet of the Blue Album. All packaged in a really cool “unraveling” sweater box!
