Krome Avenue is shut down as brush fires burn over 13,000 acres in Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Erika Benitez says stay indoors with the windows up and the air conditioning on. The Quarry Fire along Northwest 137th Avenue and Northwest 25th Street has burned some 13,400 acres and is 30-percent contained. The nearby Well Fire has burned 500 acres and is 25-percent contained. Air quality is unhealthy in several areas including Hialeah, Opa-locka, Miramar and Davie.
