Back in November 2018, Don Swartz was driving around dressed as Fred Flintstone in a customized Smart Car that looked a lot like the iconic Flintmobile.
Deputy H. Echevarri of the Pasco Sheriff's Office saw the vehicle and decided to use the off-the-wall incident as an opportunity for a traffic stop turned photo op. They staged a scene where Swartz got pulled over for speeding.
In the Facebook post, the officer joked that “Mr. Flintstone” “became unruly and had to be detained.”
“After further investigation, Mr. Flintstone was issued a Notice To Appear and released. Deputy Echevarria then seized the vehicle which is now part of the PCSO fleet. This is what Intelligence-Led Policing looked like in the stone age,” the post continued.
One has to wonder... what was he doing all dressed up for Halloween in November? On the other hand, it's Florida Man... so we shouldn't ask questions.
