Man Eats World’s Hottest Chili Peppers In Record Time, Suffers Greatly

Meet Mike Jack. He recently set a Guinness World Record by eating three Carolina Reaper peppers (which is the world's hottest chili pepper) in 9.72 seconds.

Jack appeared to be in a lot of pain after setting the record. He winced in pain and required a bucket.

“It feels so good but hurts so bad,” Jack said.

A previous record did not appear on the Guinness website.

According to Guinness, the Smokin’ Ed’s Carolina Reaper packs an average of 1.6 million Scoville Heat Units. However, other sources claim it has up to more than 2 million. “It’s kind of like eating molten lava,” said creator, Ed Currie.

PepperHead.com reports the Carolina Reaper is about 200 times hotter than the jalapeño.
