A shocking image of a child barely visible in a swimming pool has nurses warning parents about the color of their swimwear.
The photo (below) shows what appears to be an empty pool. However, there is in fact a child beneath the water (circled in the picture below the original image) who is practically invisible to the naked eye.
The child was wearing pale blue shorts while swimming near the bottom of the pool. Due to the color of the swim shorts, it was extremely difficult to see him.
CPR Kids, which is a Facebook group ran by expert pediatric nurses, shared the image to warn parents about the importance of brightly colored clothing while in the water.
"Yes, there is a child there, it's hard to believe we know," the group said on Facebook.
"Following on from our post recently on the importance of fluoro and bright coloured swimwear for kids, one of the CPR Kids Educators was at a pool party with friends and noticed how cloudy the water had become after being used all day," they continued. "She asked one of the children who was wearing a pale blue swimsuit, to swim to the bottom. The result shocked her "
