Florida middle school students had more to worry about than mask-wearing and social distancing last week when a large alligator showed up.
The video (below) was filmed outside Lakeland Highlands Middle School on January 29.
Parents spotted the massive gator that was sunning itself on a sidewalk near the school campus and called authorities.
According to a tweet from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the large gator was 10-feet long and 800 lbs.
A trapper removed the reptile from the school area.
