The City of Riviera Beach is investigating the sudden appearance of some "no fishing" signs on the Blue Heron Bridge.
The city, according to a post on its Facebook page, initially said the Department of Environmental Protection installed the signs on the eastern portion of the bridge, which is a popular spot for fishermen and divers.
The city says it received no advance notice about the installation of the signs and plans to thoroughly investigate the matter.
However, the DEP told CBS12 News the signs did not come from that particular state agency.
The DEP said the city is investigating which entity holds jurisdiction over the matter.
