Southwest Airlines Passenger Knocked Out Flight Attendant's Teeth

We are learning new details about the violent assault onboard a Southwest Airlines flight on Sunday morning.

According to reports, while traveling from Sacramento to San Diego, one female passenger punched a flight attendant in the face upon landing.

The plane had just landed when the female passenger stood up, witnesses recalled. The flight attendant quickly told the passenger to sit back down and buckle in.

That's when the passenger punched the flight attendant, breaking her nose and knocking out two of her teeth.

San Diego police were waiting at the gate and escorted the passenger off the plane, where she was taken to jail.

Assaulting a flight crew member is a federal offense and carries a sentence of up to 20 years.

The flight attendant was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for her injuries.
