A shocking video captured the moment a family was traveling during a severe thunderstorm and their vehicle was struck by lightning.
The family was traveling in their Jeep Grand Cherokee in Kansas when a series of lightning bolts struck the SUV.
A vehicle traveling behind, equipped with a dashcam, filmed the entire incident, and the video is quite powerful.
Luckily, the family of four escaped unharmed, but the same can't be said for the Jeep. The bolt completely fried the vehicle's electronics.
Shortly after the last strike, the SUV slows to a halt, and the brake lights quickly fade out.
