A photo of an "embarrassed" raccoon that was rescued from a Georgia home has gone viral.
The photo was posted to the City of Dalton Fire Department's Facebook page with the caption, "Sure, there may be the occasional cat needing to be rescued from a tree, but a raccoon? That's a new one."
The firefighters were called to the scene on Monday night after the animal found itself inside a person's home and couldn't get back out.
"As you can tell, he was pretty embarrassed about it, but it's really nothing to be ashamed of. We all need a helping hand every now and then."
According to officials, the bashful animal was released back into the wild.
