Many businesses all across the country are struggling to find enough employees to fill out their staff.
The Sugar Mediterranean Bistro located in Stockton, California, is solving the problem with a robot that helps deliver food to customers.
According to the general manager, Ana Ortiz, human employees are still serving customers and making sure everyone is well taken care of at the restaurant. However, the robot has been a huge help during these interesting times.
“It is a lifesaver. You know, it helps us bring out all of the food,” Ortiz said. "The table that is closest to the patio, I press ‘go’ and it will take it right out.”
“It makes sense for us right now because of the shortage of employees. This is the only solution we’re finding,” said Ortiz.
