A Florida man rescued a woman and her dog from a burning home in Fort Myers Beach Tuesday afternoon.
James Cullen was driving when he saw the flames from the road. As he got closer, he could hear a woman yelling from inside the house, "I can't get out."
The woman grabbed her dog and jumped onto Cullen's back in order to escape, according to Cullen.
According to the fire department chief, the fire went through the roof of the two-story home on South Street. The female victim was transported to the hospital after being rescued.
The cause of the fire is unknown. However, there were thunderstorms in the area, according to reports.
