A video from Colorado shows the jaw-dropping moment a massive bull moose charges at a hiker who had stumbled upon the creature in the woods.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife shared the video on social media, in which they used the intense scene to warn about approaching wild animals in their natural habitat.
"This video shows what can happen when you are too close to a bull moose," they wrote, "and how quickly they can decide to charge on you."
According to the post, the hiker "came upon the bull while walking along a willow bottom heading towards a lake in Clear Creek County."
The individual decided to pull out their cell phone and began filming the creature eating behind a tree.
Once the moose spotted the hiker, it quickly drops its head and charges toward the camera.
Luckily, the stunned hiker managed to avoid being struck by the moose by taking cover behind a nearby tree, according to the department.
