Home-security footage out of Hong Kong shows a resourceful thief steal a purse from a tenth-story apartment by using a long pole with a hook attached to the end of it.
In the video, the masked burglar can be seen standing on top of some scaffolding set up outside the apartment building in the neighborhood of Sham Shui Po on Sunday.
Demonstrating remarkable dedication and patience, the robber slowly extends the bamboo pole towards a purse sitting on the couch into the living room.
It wasn't long before the burglar was able to snag the bag and quickly pull the homemade contraption back towards him.
Shockingly, the woman who lives in the apartment caught sight of what was happening and ran over to the window screaming "robbery," but the purse thief was able to escape with around $150 and a variety of bank cards.
Authorities in Hong Kong are now searching for the thief.
