A Canadian woman is being hailed a hero after she successfully fought off a black bear who was chasing down her dog.
In the video, Diane Fillion grabs a stick to fend off the mama black bear after her Rottweiler, Ozzy, spooked a bear cub up into a tree.
“We’ve got myself and my dog and three bears all looking at each other. The dog put one of the cubs in the tree, and then the mom came after my dog, and the fight started,” Fillion said.
The situation happened so fast, Fillion didn't even realize what hit her, literally.
“I thought I had tripped, and then we pulled our security cameras, and then we realized no, the bear actually hit me.”
Luckily, Fillion was not injured in the brief attack.
