A video recorded by a student showing the bloody aftermath of the Houston School shooting last week has gone viral online and has sparked a heated discussion about gun violence in schools.
Last Friday, a former student of YES Prep Southwest Secondary school, Dexter Harold Kelsey, 25, opened fire at the entrance, attempting to access the school.
The school's principal, Eric Espinoza, was shot in the back. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery.
More than 900 students were located on the school's campus during the shooting, but luckily, no students were injured during the incident.
The video was filmed by a female student who posted the footage on TikTok with the caption, “Well this happened today.”
In the video, students are evacuating with their hands raised as law enforcement officers line the hallways. A shattered glass door is seen where the shooting took place, according to reports.
