This situation could have ended much worse if not for the pane of glass separating the family's dog from a hungry mountain lion.
A Colorado woman filmed the face-to-face encounter between her dog, Dash, and a mountain lion who was passing through their backyard.
The mountain lion appeared puzzled by the transparent barrier, attempting multiple ways to get in, even tapping on the glass with its paw.
Eventually, the mountain lion loses interest and walks away. Finally, Dash finds his courage and lets out one final bark as the big cat disappears into the yard.
