A group of golfers got quite the shock when they were joined by an enormous crab that sliced through their club "like a chainsaw."
The massive crustacean managed to climb up one man's golf bag, where it held on tightly to one of the clubs during the game on Christmas Island.
In the video (below), the group of friends are seen laughing while attempting to retrieve the club from the enormous pincers before it snapped in half.
The video was posted to social media, where it was identified as a coconut or robber crab.
“And that’s why we call them a robber crab. And we have not put this here, this has climbed up here while we’ve been putting out," said the cameraman. “He’s got a bloody good grip on it. Look at that.”
The video was initially posted on Reddit back in October 2020 but has recently gone viral.
