A teenager in Florida has started a movement to change Super Bowl Sunday to Super Bowl Saturday, and the petition is getting a lot of attention online.
Like many others, Frank Ruggeri is a big NFL fan, but he has taken up a cause for a significant change within the NFL and the Super Bowl.
We were sitting at the table debating over spaghetti dinner, and wow, why can't it just be on Saturday?" Frank recalled.
After coming to that conclusion, he decided to turn that debate into a cause.
When asked why he thought Saturday would be better compared to Sunday, he said, "because 17.2 million people miss work and less productivity."
Frank believes the change would also benefit families with kids who have school on Monday.
Frank started his petition on Change.org two years ago, and it quickly gained attention. Currently, over 100,000 people have signed it.
