Last week, NASA shared some images from the Mars Perseverance rover, and one particular photo has gained the attention of many.
In the photo, a sizeable boulder appears oddly balanced atop a rock tower on the surface of the Red Planet.
Oddly enough, the balanced rock was not mentioned in the post. However, it was quickly noticed by people online, and all types of suggestions started rolling in about how the rock wound up there.
Some believe the boulder was placed there by aliens.
Meanwhile, the more skeptical observer argues the rock may not be balanced but simply part of the formation beneath it. It just appears that way due to thousands of years of erosion.
