Construction Project Causes Traffic Nightmare On Key Biscayne

Lawmakers looking for solutions after hundreds of people are stuck for three-to-four hours in a massive traffic jam trying to leave Key Biscayne Sunday. Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes calls it horrible and unfair. The Florida Department of Transportation just started work on the Rickenbacker Causeway's flyover bridge connecting westbound traffic to South Dixie Highway. I-95 north was closed and is scheduled to remain shut down for two months for a concrete restoration project. A petition calling for the project to be delayed until June has already received more than 16-hundred signatures.
