Controlled Open Enrollment Available For Some Palm Beach Schools

Parents who want their child to attend a Palm Beach County public school outside their regular attendance zone can do so right now.

Controlled Open Enrollment began yesterday and remains open through the month of May.

The school district is allowing students both inside and outside the county to apply to attend a school that's not in their neighborhoods, but transportation is not provided and only certain schools are available.

The school district has a list of more than 60 elementary schools, 24 middle schools and 7 high schools. A lottery will be conducted in June.
