Dramatic video from the Fort Pierce police shows a man swinging a machete at officers as they try to subdue him at a Walmart store. The incident occurred after multiple 911 calls reported a man waving a machete inside the store. Officers arrived and confronted the suspect, leading to a chaotic scene captured on body-worn cameras. The suspect, identified as Lawrence Fountain, was eventually subdued and taken into custody, facing charges including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer. Despite minor injuries to an officer, the situation was resolved without further harm.
