Metallica will be hitting the road in 2023 with a massive world tour and a unique new format.

On Monday, the band announced the M72 World Tour, which launches April 27th, 2023 in Amsterdam and runs through September of 2024. The tour's 'No Repeat Weekend' format will see the band perform on two nights with two completely different sets with different opening acts. Some of those opening acts include Volbeat, Five Finger Death Punch, Mammoth WHV, Greta Van Fleet, and the much-hyped Pantera reunion. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, Dec. 2nd. Presale tickets go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 30th.

Would you want to see the same band perform two nights in a row? Will other bands copy this 'no repeat weekend' format?
