Report: The Coolest You Should Keep Your House In The Summer is 78 Degress

A report that was released earlier this summer by Energy Star about energy efficiency is going viral. According to the report, the coolest you should keep your house in the summer is 78 degrees. Wait...what? WHO DOES THAT?

If you think that's crazy, check out these other recommended settings:

• 78° F when you’re home

• 85° F when you’re at work or away

• 82° F when you’re sleeping

When a reporter in Tampa tweeted about it earlier this week, the internet lost their minds and you can clearly see why.

In my house, we run the AC around 75 during the day, and 72 at night, which might seem a little warm, but we have ceiling fans in every room, so it works. How about you?
