Long-time Canned Heat bassist, Larry “The Mole” Taylor, lost his 12-year battle with cancer on Monday, August 19th.
In addition to Canned Heat, Taylor was also a session player with The Monkees, John Mayall, Tom Waits and many others over the years.
Friend and producer Skip Taylor told Billboard.com that "Larry told great stories, funny jokes, was a foodie, wine, record and rock poster collector, computer whiz and a special human being who really lived for the music."
He died at his home in Lake Balboa, California at the age of 77.
